She noted that protocol teams had been deployed at Entebbe International Airport to facilitate arrivals and departures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are honoured to host leaders from different parts of the world as Uganda marks this important democratic milestone,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority said additional arrangements had been made to ensure smooth airport operations during the busy period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several foreign ministers, ambassadors and heads of delegation had already arrived by Monday evening, while more guests were expected before the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotels in Kampala and Entebbe reported increased bookings as delegates and visitors continued arriving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Government said the inauguration would provide an opportunity for Uganda to strengthen diplomatic ties and showcase its ability to host international events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Security agencies remain on high alert as preparations continue for the national ceremony expected to attract thousands of guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Caroline Foreign dignitaries from different countries have started arriving in Uganda ahead of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni\u2019s inauguration ceremony scheduled for May 12 at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
