Kintu<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Principal Public Relations Officer of Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), Jennifer Kalule-Musamba,&nbsp;has confirmed that the missing Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) scripts of Integrated Science for learners of Bamure Primary School in Koboko District have been recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board has assured parents, candidates, and stakeholders that the situation is under control and the scripts will be marked in time for the selection and placement exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to UNEB, the issue was discovered during routine quality control procedures before the release of results, when it was established that the scripts of 34 candidates from Bamure Primary School were missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The learners had been tentatively awarded an \u201cX\u201d while a thorough investigation was conducted at the marking centres and later at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation led to the discovery of a sealed envelope containing the missing scripts, which was found intact in a lockable box for UNEB materials in the office of the Headmaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For transparency, the envelope was handed over to Koboko Central Police Station, which confirmed that it had not been tampered with. The scripts have since been returned to UNEB for marking and grading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNEB emphasised that the recovery of the scripts ensures that all affected candidates will be graded fairly and without delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Board hereby reassures the parents and candidates of Bamure Primary School, and all concerned stakeholders that the scripts will be marked expeditiously and the candidates graded in time for the selection and placement exercise,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNEB last week released the results of the pupils who sat for the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). Over 730,000 passed the examinations and are eligible to join secondary or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 817,883 candidates registered for the 2025 PLE from 15,388 examination centres across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Out of those registered, 807,313 candidates turned up to sit for the examinations, while 10,570 were absent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of those who sat for the examinations, 730,233 passed, attaining the required grades from Division One to Division Four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Diana N.
