According to the extra ordinary gazette notice by NCS General Secretary Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel, the gazetting triggers a 30-day window from the date of the gazette(June 23, 2025)  during which any member of the public with grounds to oppose any of the listed federations can submit a written objection to the NCS General secretary . This provision is intended to promote transparency and accountability in the recognition process.

The move is expected to improve access to funding, enhance Uganda’s participation in international competitions, and promote better management practices within sports federations—especially as the country prepares for a busy calendar of local and global sporting events.
